It is not cheap to run a business in Silicon Valley. It is also not cheap to live in Silicon Valley. Technology and infrastructure in towns all across the country have finally matured to the point where the value proposition of starting your company in Silicon Valley is less persuasive.
There have been times in the past where big nam companies have considered leaving Silicon Valley and California - but we are finally at a point where the barriers to making it work just don't really exist. The Wall Street Journal published an article about up and coming tech hubs that just might be the next Silicon Valley - so we will take a look at them and see if we might just be able to make a ground floor investment in a city that is about to have a tech boom!
