Most folks are not aware of the differences between mobile homes, manufactured homes and modular homes.
Modular homes don't carry a stigma really. Once they are built, they are treated like any other single family home. In fact, when they are done, you really cannot tell the difference between them and stick built homes.
Mobile homes and modular homes tend to come in big box chunks of the same size that are laid side by side and attached to each other to create the living space.
I know that I have a bit of a built in bias about mobile homes from a long history in real estate. However, the manufactured homes of today are very different from the old mobile homes that you are familiar with.
Today we are going to discuss the current state of mobile/manufactured home solutions. The smart and dumb ways to own them and what part could they play in todays market where affordability and inventory are huge challenges.
